Tea Party types are rightfully angry—but their blame is misdirected, at the poor and immigrants.

Where is the tea party blaming the poor and legal immigrants? And what are they blaming them for?
Completely off topic, but I want to wish all you progressives a Happy Columbus Day!
The Republicans, and by extension the Tea Party who are just the junior boosters club, practice economic Calvinism. They say that their polices favor successful people. Therefore, if you don’t support Republican policies, you are not successful. These misguided people gladly tolerate a government that allows companies to dump mine tailings on their land and sell their pensions junk bonds. Its either that or look unsuccessful.
Its genius, really. The Democrats have to throw their constituency a bone every once in a while. The Republicans just make theirs hurt so good.
The teabaggers remind me of the years before Hitler came to power, the Nazis found a scapegoat and exploited that hate during economic hard times.
Billy Mac,
Neither Republicans nor conservatives say “They say that their polices favor successful people”.
Albert, you are a walking bumper sticker. When you are able to think on your own you’ll be worthy of a more thoughtful reply.
hi US 395,
hi comrade.
why not just cut the foreplay? You want us all to make a distinction between legal and illegal immigrants.
Done! Ted agrees. His original manifesto (found at the end of a book he wrote in 2004) talked at length about the importance of stopping illegal immigration.
Sadly, our agreement on this point leaves the illegal employers totally unimpressed. They need to compete with other businesses and people who hire illegals. The growing amount of slave labor from prison corporations is not going to help this trend. It’s going to further drive down the unskilled labor wage.
And you’re a walking joke US 395.
US 395,
Here’s a revelation. Politicians don’t always say what they mean. Find me neocon who will actually say that peaceful solutions are for Nancy boys or any an environmentalist who will admit a general opposition to material progress. Voters know what they’re getting. They know who to vote for if they want to watch wars on the TV and they know who to vote for they want to make life difficult for the utility that powers their TV.
Republicans and conservatives have hidden messages like everyone else. The brilliance is that the “hidden message” is itself deceptive.
let’s not call names fellas.
US395, Albert’s comment was directly applicable to the cartoon. It was short and concise and it made a point. It was not very nice of you to call him a walking bumper sticker.
And, Albert, you have the right to escalate since you were attacked first, but it is so mean to call someone a “walking joke”. You are talking about a human being. He calls names a lot but US395 is our friend. Why else would he come in and read and comments everyday unless he liked us all a little?
Oleg,
Any employer who knowingly hires an illegal immigrant should be sanctioned. However, using Meg Whitman as an example, if an illegal immigrant uses forged documents to prove they are a citizen, there is not much the employer can do. Even the letter Whitman received from the government stating that the SSN her maid used was incorrect said she could not be terminated on this basis.
Yeah OK I apologize to good ole Al. I was his only commenter on his now defunct blog.
Republicans and conservatives have hidden messages like everyone else. The brilliance is that the “hidden message” is itself deceptive.
No there is no hidden conservative message. Unfortunately for you, you’ll never believe it because a negative cannot be proven. So you, and your fellow leftists, will continue to delude yourself about conservatives. Fortunately for us conservatives, you are going to get your clock cleaned on Nov 2.
Sorry, he’s at a computer, so he’s a sitting joke. 🙂
My blog is not defunct, I’m on hiatus. I’m going to try to get other blogs to link to me so I can get more readers outside of the same hateful troll (not US 395, some guy named Rich who I pissed off and now he won’t leave me the fuck alone) to comment.
It’s not just the teabaggers, but the whole conservative movement that sounds like Nazis. There is this book that I will try to get around to reading called “They Thought They Were Free” about Nazi Germany. It’s the same here in America, when I hear a conservative talk, they talk about freedom and then in the next sentence, they sound fascistic. It’s like I said before, the only people they want to have more freedoms are the large corporations, the ultra-rich, and that asshole who wants to blow smoke in your face. When you give power to those who already have too much power, it’s called authoritarianism and that’s essentially what conservatism is about. Oh, they may say differently, but that’s the truth. No authoritarian will ever call themselves that, it’s our duty as liberals to call them that.
The rich elite rob us through a “Trifecta” if you will of “Divide and Conquer” combined with the “Law of Supply and Demand”.
1. They import illegal workers to increase the “Supply” of labor.
2. They export manufacturing to reduce the “Demand” for it, along with much skilled labor.
3. They bribe the government and buy out the media to help escape the “Law”.
It’s like a fire. It needs fuel, air and temperature. Remove one part, the whole thing collapses. Problem is, some fires are like “Grease fires” that can hold their fuel and temperature so they have to be smothered.
The weakest link for the rich elite is #1.
The second weakest is #2.
That is why their crappy media focuses us on itself, on the fake news and politics show. Any ‘victory’ there can easily be co-opted or superseded.
Their weakest link, by far, is #1. Get rid of illegal immigrants, they’ll sweat blood.
Now, how do we “Get Rid” of them?
Do we “Shoot and shovel”? Do we kidnap them, especially the ladies, and horribly torture them till we murder them, then grind them up and pour them with bleach down the drain? Do we shoot cops who are so brave writing us tickets but would sh-t their plus sized pants at busting an employer of illegals? Do we sneak in ninja style and burn businessmen and their families alive in their homes?
Actually, we could get around all of this. We don’t need no fence, no profiling, no psycho vigilante action. Just demand (voting, public action, jury nullification, boycott) the authorities “Check the books” on any and all employers and fully prosecute those who hire any illegals.
No more “Liberal” sh-t or any “Racial” thing. An employer of an illegal is “Thief” and “Traitor”. They steal from America to enrich themselves, and they destroy the American dream for the American and steal it from the immigrant. They are to be publicly pilloried, despised, and the authorities given no peace or quarter till the DO THEIR JOBS and prosecute those that hire illegals.
Now, you think “I don’t want to pick berries”… Well at the wages and conditions of the illegals.
But, Ted, without illegals we’d nave NEGATIVE unemployment. Negative. 5% positive easy.
What would that do to wages? Supply and Demand. “You can take this job and shove it” would no longer be met by derisive laughter.
And how many people out there are frankly better off “Laborers” but because the parasite traitors wouldn’t even hire them, much less give them a living wage, have to force themselves through college and fight neck and neck with people in other jobs? Let workers be able to demand a living wage, other professions would have a lack of labor also, and wages would go high and it’d come right from the hide of the elites.
THEN, we go after “Outsourcing”. The rich would start jumping from windows at that point.
But no problem, plenty of newer prosperous people to fill their shoes, from the classes they stole from.
The companies that break down protectionist policies are heroes and should profit handsomely. The people who try to knock down protectionist employment laws are called “illegals” and should be sanctioned. That’s the way I see it, because that’s where my campaign contributions come from!
no no Green…don’t you see? The whole reason the elites have the ability to hire any legal workers is because of all the money they make off of illegals and outsourcing.
It’s the same problem with taxing them: they can only create the economic engine if they are utterly unbridled.
It’s mastery, don’t you see? Don’t kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
Al,
Go read “I Think I’ll Sit This One Out.”
