We are now at the point that the only way the aggressor nation attacking the homeland of another can win a war is either via total war or warcriming.
A more effective way of “winning hearts and minds” would be to drop the cash we’d spend on bombs on a country instead of dropping bombs–but of course, that leaves the murder weapon manufacturers out of the loop, and we can’t have that!
I fear that too many people in the US like the bombing. If we dropped cash instead, they’d probably complain that their tax dollars are being misspent.
