Following the doctrine that it is easier to beg forgiveness than to obtain permission, Israel is engaged in the ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip, with a view toward annexing it. It’s not hard to imagine that, sooner rather than later, beach resorts will replace the 2.3 million Palestinians who have been killed or driven out of their homeland.

This comics is quite a joke, since:
a) Thanks to construction, maintenance and services activities being labour-intensive, jews will spare and keep many Palestinians at hand, properly sterilized of course. And even a lot more than normally needed today because of the inescapable dwindle in available energy to feed machines.
b) The Mediterranean basin is considered a hotspot (pun intended) of climate drift. A continuous trend toward drier conditions over the past several years is expected to continue and increase in the coming decades.
Around 2043, it is quite possible that, thanks to the unrelenting greenhouse gas emissions, staying outdoors unprotected will have become lethal for several days of the year (IPCC AR6 “Cross-Chapter Paper 4: Mediterranean Region”)
P.S.: Another good joke: The IPCC shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore for contributions to the understanding of climate disruption.
Never forget. That’s the axiom. Bear witness. That’s another.
I recall the arguments from the 1980s against divestiture from South Africa. They aged very badly. The major one was something along the lines of “We have an obligation to our investors to maximize profit, and South Africa offers the best returns.”
Donald Woods, the journalist (this was back when journalists committed journalism) who had Steve Biko’s beaten dead body photographed and published the photos (“Cry Freedom” was based on the story of Biko and Woods’ friendship), would respond to that argument by pointing out that prostitution and narcotics gave even higher returns.
Suddenly, everyone has grown quite tired of Israel’s diva behavior. Possibly because we’re now witnessing the live-time, full-color, readily available videos (complete with sound) of Israel behaving in ways that show that THEY have forgotten.
