Nice cartoon. As with Shakespeare’s Shylock, loan sharks make great villians, and the crowd cheers when they are denied their collateral.
How the hell am I supposed to feel sorry for inapproprate loan candidates who knowingly bought more property than they could afford? Besides, I’ve been subsidizing these clowns for years via the mortgage interest tax deduction. That’s effectively free housing for people paying interest only mortgages. I’ve been paying non-tax deductible rent the whole time. Now I’ve got to buy them houses free and clear?
