They Have So Much Due Process in Common

Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, is the villainous violent thug who campaigned on a promise to murder 100,000 criminals. He has already started on his program of genocide by having the police shoot hundreds of street-level drug dealers. Now he is scheduled to meet with Barack Obama, who plans to lecture him on human rights and extrajudicial killings. The problem is, Obama doesn’t have the moral authority to do so.

  • BarryHO, Billary, T-rump … they’re all “pod” (as in the same pea) people. Only difference is that Trump is a “less-smooth” operator. You really do get what’s straight from the horse’s ass. For all the low-renters, that’s part of his charm.

But to pretend that Hillary would somehow be a better “deal?” She just has smoother operators covering up for her sick ass, that’s all. The Dem-backing corporatists just want to get their MCVP beyond any 25th Amendment debate. The whole damn operation is a global puppy-fuck.

    • Many people assume that anyone opposed to Obama must be a racist. When you invariably refer to him with a racial slur, you reinforce that perception. That, in turn, makes it harder for those of us who object to him solely because of his policies.

He’s only got a few more months in office. I bet if you tried just really, really, hard you could find some OTHER play on his name to use.

      • BarryHO? Barrack Hussein Obama? Is it perceived “racism” because he’s (demonstrably half) Black? Or is it because he sports an “Islamic” name (Islam encompasses all racial classifications)? During his younger years, he wasn’t “Barrack,” but only Barry. Is it because I’ve chosen to recognize his “White” heritage by calling him the Anglicized Christian moniker “Barry?”

Perhaps it’s racism because I’m (seemingly) overall Caucasian, and BarryHO is only half-Caucasian … such a sticky wicket for all people who walk on eggshells in order to not seem “racist.”

Instead, I choose not to pay attention to his supporters who so easily gun-sling out the “race”-card. I call him BarryHO even as I advertise myself as DanD. I don’t quite see the racism there. But it is the English language and America really is squirrely that way.

      • Seriously? Are you telling us you don’t know how to say ‘prostitute’ in Ebonics?

Okay, for sake of argument, let’s say you didn’t know. Now you do. Since you are totally not a racist, you will, of course, find some other name.

      • « Is it because I’ve chosen to recognize his “White” heritage by calling him the Anglicized Christian moniker “Barry?”» «Barry» a «Christian moniker» ? While many Christians (religious and/or cultural) are indeed called «Barry», I suspect that that characterisation of the name would surprise the Gaels from whose languages it was first derived and in which it seems to have meant «fair-haired» (I don’t know if grey hair counts in this context)….

        Henri

      • And CH,

I suppose that you are even more serious? So if I ever wanted to call a half-breed pResident a “whore,” you have proclaimed it to be “racistly” motivated if I use an Ebonically similar-sounding “ho” spelling pattern … seriously? And the man (I mean BarryHO) is definitely, without a doubt, a corporate “ho” … also for campaign cash, ALL presidents have whored (or ho’ed) themselves out to some brand of corporate sugar-daddy. THAT is a Western-cultural certainty.
        https://robertlindsay.wordpress.com/2011/08/23/corporate-whore-barack-obama-part-1/

But you have expertly determined that I’m being racist because I have opportunistically used a twitterism, and it certainly MUST be racist if some White guy adopts an urban spelling from a collateral culture to his own. CH, you’ve got “racism” on the brain. Seriously.

        DanD

      • Okay, you got me. It is, indeed, hard to take you seriously.

      • This is nutty even for CrazyH.

DanD has always referred to Obama that way.

        Also, stop saying Ebonics.

        Obama is a wHOre.

Saying DanD as a white man cannot do something is itself racist.

Finally, thank you for truly jumping the shark on the racism card; demonstrating yet again that the charge of “racism” is meaningless and to be disregarded.

      • «Finally, thank you for truly jumping the shark on the racism card; demonstrating yet again that the charge of “racism” is meaningless and to be disregarded.» And thank you, «Jack Heart», for conclusively demonstrating that «racism» does not exist, but rather is a figment of the fevered imaginations of the loony Left ! Good to learn that all are equal in the «indispensable nation», that Shining City upon a Hill !…

        Henri

      • “DanD has always referred to Obama that way.”

        :: Kindergarten teacher voice::

That’s right very good Jackie! You have a very firm grasp of the obvious. Dan does always use a racist term when referring to the POTUS.

“Saying DanD as a white man cannot do something is itself racist.”

Why yes, of course calling someone on racism is itself racist. All cops are robbers, all firemen are arsonists, and that which is wet is likewise dry.

      • The problem with you CH, is that you’re a PC race-baiter, as are most neo-lib, fake-progressive crypto-Zionists. This is the comments page of a fundamentally not-PC, political commentator and cartoonist. Comically lampooning the politics, and culture and race and language and education and emotional states-of-mind existing throughout reality is part of the program. In your own limp-dick, passive-aggressive way, even you participate in a mildly brain-damaged way. You’re just not as effective as most.

      • Daddy Dandy is soooo butch it makes this one totally wet. Will this one be punished with Daddy’s great, big, manly pee-pee if this one is bad?

      • Wow, a mighty-mite meltdown.

        D

      • Oh, I’m sorry Dandy – did that one go over your pretty little head? Try this one instead, “You are qualified to play all three of Dorothy’s companions in Oz.”

  • Due process is whatever the illegitimate top dog sons of whores choose to DO.

The people will never figure this out while studiously considering their vote for the Inflictor in Chief from among the two realistic choices offered by the duopoly.

Any realistic alternative to this savagery is impossible.

So: Be realistic and demand the impossible.

Vote third party (or don’t vote at all); but don’t legitimize the illegitimacy of the duopoly by voting for them.

  • Good last line.
I wonder if they’ll start stamping that on missiles.
“The bomb had the words DUE PROCESS clearly displayed”

  • Oh, I *really* enjoyed this one! But give Duterte credit–he’s no lapdog and he isn’t telling other countries what they can do–at least so far as I know.

  • «Due process» ? Wonderful ! I’m waiting for the urban dictionary definition….

    Henri

  • Obomber would never stoop so low as to kill street drug dealers in cold blood. That’s what cops are for!

    • «… That’s what cops are for!» If I understand aright, the cops are precisely the tools that Mr Duterte is using as well….

      Henri

      • gotta wonder what names O’Bummer calls Duterte when the mic is off…

      • Mr Duterte claims that he did not call his US counterpart a «son of a bitch» (in Tagalog) and after watching this video clip, available on the Independent website, I’d have to agree ; the comment seems rather to have been interjected into a discussion with reporters and did not refer to any person….

Much more damning than any possible personal invective, however, was the statement with which Mr Duterte begins the clip : «I am a president of a sovereign state and we have long ceased to be a colony. I do not have any master except the Filipino people – nobody, but nobody ! …»

Now them’s fighting words (not to speak of lèse majesté), and if Mr Obama won’t apprise Mr Duterte of that fact, then I am certain that Ms Clinton will not hesitate to do so. Enough is enough !…

        Henri

  • I get depressed reading the comments on gocomics. Most seem to hate Mr Rall and everything he stands for (I, of course, do NOT agree with the overwhelming majority of those who comment on gocomics, from which I was Banned for Life, and will be immediately deleted if I try to create a new account with a different e-mail, unless I change and post just like all the others).

Today (Sunday) on New Adventures of Queen Victoria, one comment was, “I’ll never forget or forgive. I got some revenge in Afghanistan for friends I lost at the Pentagon (now a retired Ranger).”

Bush, jr immediately cleared the Saudis, all of whom belong to a peaceful, vegetarian sect of Islam, and he found that those who perpetrated 9/11 were all followers and co-religionists of the Ayatollahs of Iran, and the plurality came from the Afghanistan Taliban. Shortly after announcing that Afghanistan sent the plurality of the 9/11 jihadists, Bush, jr announced that Saddam sent the second largest number of jihadists, and had a massive arsenal of WMD he was almost ready to deploy against the US. And Obama and Secretary Clinton discovered that the third largest group of attackers came from Libya.

Where I am, I cannot buy Mr Rall’s book about Trump, but from what I’ve read about Trump’s actions, he’d be an unmitigated disaster as president. So Secretary Clinton is …
    (ditto).

Which leaves every rational voter the choice between someone who does not know what the acronym A.L.E.P..P..O stands for (it stands for milking some animal, either a goat or a cow or a camel), or a mug for beer.

(The New York Times explained that A.L.E.P..P..O is the de facto capital of the Daesh. Sorry, it’s the capital of Syria. Sorry, the capital of Syria is Damascus. I found this out when I inadvertently tuned into the Russian Propaganda channel, where I saw a cartoonist wearing black, horn-rimmed spectacles saying, with a thick New York City accent that Trump wasn’t so bad and Secretary Clinton was very careless with her e-mails, two positions the Clintonbots find treasonous, so when she wins, that cartoonist should think about relocating to another country.)

    • I’m pretty sure 9/11 was a Mossad false flag op. Your points about Afghanistan and Iraq being poor targets and Saudi Arabia being an enemy stand regardless.

    • Shades of Alfred Jarry ! I thought I’d never see an example of pataphysique on Ted’s threads, but Michael has restored my faith in humanity !…

      Henri

  • Personally, I’m not all that concerned about Duterte killing drug dealers. I guess it depends on what they’re selling and how much, though.

The bigger and more important story is that the Philippines may be finally asserting its sovereignty and challenging US imperialism. If this is in fact what is happening that is a step in the right direction and should be applauded.
