How did America find itself at this point? As voters head to the polls, most will choose between a deranged monomaniac and an elderly fool. Surely a country with 330 million people deserve better.

Re: “senile dotard” v. “fascist fool.”
It should be clear that “the choice” is between TWO senile dotard fascist fools.
But, of course, “OUR senile dotard fascist fool” don’t stink !!!
I voted, but I didn’t/couldn’t vote for either of two terrible choices I voted for a 3rd party candidate and felt good about it. A candidate that the media almost never mentions.
As I sit here mainlining chocolate caramels, I am at the nadir of my nihilism. Naturally.
As Ted points out, we’ve got a racist narcissist who doesn’t understand science and a dotard who might understand science a little but isn’t going to let science dictate anything, not while his corporate owners are pulling the strings. And those are our two choices.
And Trump, for all his many many flaws, still has a chance at winning this without cheating. That’s the best the dems could do. Kinda, maybe, hitting it out of the park’s infield. If the polls are right.
The people have the governments they deserve. Period.
Eat your humble pie.
Of course, while sipping some warm Chablis along with rubbery Brie. Not forgetting a large order of freedom fries!

If You Vote for the Lesser of Two Evils, Evil Wins!
As long as we continue to vote for the lesser of two evils the best we can ever hope for is the status quo. But evil and the power hungry will never settle for status quo, they will always want even more power. We are losing ground by continuing to play their game, on their terms.
As I type this, it’s 11:42 p.m. It’s been pretty much mathematically impossible for Biden to win since 11:10 p.m. Why are they prolonging this? It would take a miracle for the numbers to break as Biden needs them to.
Imagine, Ted, if that question weren’t simply treated as a rhetorical device to indicate how fucked up things are over there (to consold you in your misery, I can report that thery’e not so hot here in Europe, either), but rather as as problem to investigate and solve ? But that, of course, would requite effort, which hardly seems worth it in these latter days….
