For decades we have been told that we should not have a socialized or national healthcare plan in the United States because this country has the best healthcare system in the world. Obviously the coronavirus pandemic and the total absence of medical coverage or testing ability or adequate space in hospitals proves that that was always a lie.

But the US system IS “the best healthcare system in the world” … precisely because it exists for the profit of the few, instead of, for the health of the many. On its own terms, it’s a crashing, effin’ success!!!
The problem is believing the central hoax: “capitalism wants to help you.”
(Can’t we just make those corpses into compost? They’re going to take up a lot of precious landfill space. The garbage disposal bills are high enough already!)
Wisconsin just voted. After a pandemic hit and (checks notes) 14 million are now unemployed (and thus without health insurance) because our system has your employer providing your health insurance, Wisconsin voted.
Either Biden or Sanders will receive more votes than the other. If Sanders does, it means the general population can be saved; that is, they can be woken up.
If Biden wins, I think the more realistic thing for all right-thinking people to do is simply help put the screws to the 99% (ourselves included) as quickly as possible because we have demonstrably shown that we are too stupid to demand health care not be linked to employment during the biggest wave of unemployment in the past 15 years (and soon in the past century). We who can and who have enough brains to see the hand writing on the wall should either start collectively figuring out how to reverse this trend or we should all start prepping for a quick exit into the remotest corners we can get to.
If Biden has more supporters than Sanders at this stage in the process, we’re terminal. Let’s just get it over with.
We won’t know if Biden really has more supporters because of the voting fraud.
All we wanted was an honest election. If Biden had won honestly, we’d be respectful of that.
No one who has taken the trouble to access the OECD statistics on health metrics – with respect to, e g, expected length of life, infant and maternal mortality, etc could ever have believed that, Ted, if «best» is construed to mean promoting the best possible health for US residents. But the statistics also show that the US has by far the dearest health care system in the world, so if one is in, e g, the insurance business, why yes, the US system is definitely the best….
I suppose this explains why Josph Robinette Biden, rather than Bernard Sanders will be the Democratic Party’s candidate in the upcoming (?) presidential elections in your country….

I suppose it’s too much to hope that Biden literally choke to death on his own feet?
