I’ve traveled to Canada for work meetings twice in the last two months. Both times the test company told me they have the test in 2-3 days. Both times they got it to me in two days. The trick is to cross by car, get tested right outside the border crossing, then pick up your result and immediately drive to the border with enough time that the border guard delay doesn’t screw you. First time was a challenge because I needed to convince them mining engineers are essential workers and that took hours, second time was easy, because the border is open to nonessential.
