Femriot

Incredibly, the police think women will riot if Sarah Palin isn’t elected.

  • So the only way for the riots not to occur is for Cynthia McKinney to win the presidency. Go Cynthia!

Let's be honest. The cops are only getting ready for riots if the election is stolen from Barack Obama. Period!

The remark about women rioting in the streets if Palin loses is just a distraction.

Believe me, I'm scared shitless that the election will be stolen and there will be riots. My uncle is a deputy sheriff and he's been told he could be expected to help local police keep a lid on things if the shit hits the fan.

  • elieve me, I'm scared shitless that the election will be stolen and there will be riots.
Did it occur to you that Hussien Obama might lose? You leftists feel so entitled to win, that if you lose it's because people are stupid or the vote was stolen.Get over yourselves.

  • Cynthia McKinney! She's female! She's black! She's actually progressive!

She'd get my vote if I wasn't in a (first time) swing state.

  • Hand2Hand I think there is a good chance that Obama being elected, especially if it's a landslide, will result in some nasty right wing backlash, especially if you see unemployment skyrocket, which is possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if this election is stolen, the only thing that suggests it won't be is 1) that the people who really pull strings don't seem willing to go to the mat for McCain. He started tanking in the polls when the stock market crashed. Part of that was undoubtedly a recognition that we are in serious trouble, but another aspect is that the typical Repug donors lost a lot of money, and decided not to fund their high-end sporting event this year.

Second, 2000 and 2004 were legitimately close elections (supposedly, I'm not going to argue the conspiracy theories), and therefore 1 or 2 states could really be gamed, and the media always talks about just one state, so they ignored Florida in 2004.

These people know that 2012 will be here before we know it, no reason to risk exposing yourself by trying to jack so many state elections simultaneously.

We'll know by 9PM ET Tuesday night. Look, when a republican is in Virginia 3 days before a national election, the wave is going to just be too much.

  • I think there is a good chance that Obama being elected, especially if it's a landslide, will result in some nasty right wing backlash…

Which is why the Dems need to ram through progressive legislation as quickly as possible!

  • Oh, please. Floral prints are so '90s.

  • Where Oakland's finest are concerned, they just want to be "involved" with the community whether it is a riot or a celebration. Besides, think of the OT pay. There's always money in the budget for thugs and bullets.

  • No matter what the results, if anybody riots for any of these candidates, my knee-jerk reaction is that they deserve to be tear-gassed.

  • The election machinery is in place to jack this election like the others. They don't need to pick one state to jack, that's the way the media presents it not the way it works. They don't lose the ability to jack it if it's not "close," that's a get-out-the-vote pep talk not a voting-machine technological analysis.

The only reason they wouldn't jack it this time is the people who build the machines and the people who run the elections just don't give a shit this time. They might not like McCain either. The establishment went for Clinton in 1992 after all.

  • Why does Ted approve asshole posts like "You leftists feel so entitled" up there? Guys like that don't get enough exposure in the media already?
