    Ah yes, the sh@ttiest radio station owner of them all…the only owner I've ever heard of that set up an Air America outlet (KLSD-AM in San Diego), ran it poorly, then replaced it with a sports station in market dominated by sports stations! They need to be broken up.

    strelnikov: that was ClearChannel's MO.

    They did that with show after show – Marc Maron comes to mind – at station after station.

    The game was, sports talk is still talk. Hence, you can say you're replacing it with an equally or more popular talk show. you just don't bother replacing the right-wing talk shows, is all.

    That's the wisdom of the market.
