2022 will be like a Ginsu enema for the democratic party. Trump’s been out of office for five months — still no arrests, no blockbuster announcements, nothing. Meanwhile, the Senate will almost certainly swing back to the Republicans in 19 months. That’s assuming no senator in a state with a Republican governor (e.g., Vermont) leaves office, feet-first or otherwise, before the midterm winners are sworn in. The DNC and the other solons over there in Blueville needed to pull off something like the Riverdance premiere — universal healthcare, student loan cancellation, etc. — and instead we’re getting Gong Show reruns.
