The most recent impeachment hearings had a clear narrative. One person did something wrong, the president. The other party did not. In Watergate, the Republicans were guilty of dirty tricks including breaking into Democratic national headquarters. With Bill Clinton, he was the one who lied under oath and had sex in the oval office. The current impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump being led by the Democratic House of representatives doesn’t have any such clear narrative.

As you wrote Monday, the media, including Wikipedia, has nothing but hagiography of the Bidens, the Clintons, and Obama. They reiterate that Trump made up all his charges against the Bidens out of whole cloth, there is no video of Biden bragging (so, of course, most of the readers of gocomics write that Mr Rall is another Russian agent, repeating Trump’s lies, and, if someone tried to play them the video, they’d cover their eyes and ears to avoid pollution by the slightest stain on those unblemished hagiographies).
‘Truth,’ asked the Pilates instructor, ‘what does that mean (and where can one find it in the establishment media)?’
Great link, Henri. Thanks.
