Armed drone warfare has radically altered the nation of warfare. No longer are there multiple combatants. Now there is the hunter and the prey. It’s only a matter of time before drones are used the same way in the United States as they are used abroad.

When the Malthusian project of austerity fails to live up (or down, depending on your perspective) to the State’s policy of superfluous population reduction, there remains the prospect of its augmentation by drone.
Nothing to see here – we can trust the government to only shoot people who are not like us.
Brown people, poor people, people who belong to that other political party… That’s how these things slip in so easily – since we know we’re good people we automatically assume that we’re immune. (“… and then they came for me”)
Didya see that the Feds’ inquest conclusively shows that the cops in Ferguson are consistently biased against black people. Who’da thunk it?
Unless there is fundamental change in a progressive direction things are set to get much worse in what is already a massive police state.
Hate to admit, Ted, that I’m so ancient that I can remember when the word «profile» was generally used to refer to the view of the subject’s face from the side….
It ain’t easy to get old, but when one considers the alternative…. 😉
