• Positioning himself for the 2028 presidential campaign, Vice President JD Vance published a shockingly blunt statement blaming Trump’s war against Iran for the GOP’s massive midterms defeat. He said that voters shifted to Democrats out of frustration, and outlined a four-point plan focusing on ending the war and tackling inflation: End the war with Iran, Focus on the cost of living and inflation, Put America First, Change the U.S. relationship with Israel. Trump loyalists slammed Vance as disloyal but Trump called Vance’s comments “largely true.”
