STOP (that stands for Standard Trump Operating Procedure). Once again, the news cycle rises and falls on what Trump says/does. Remember McCarthy? That was back during the am/pm news cycle. So Friday afternoon, he’d announce a teaser with a promise of more to come. The papers would prep a slot for him for Monday morning. Did the media know he was blowing smoke up everyone’s ass? Of course. Did they care? Do they care now? Their biggest fear? The circulation drop if Trump loses. This has never been about decency, ‘Mericuh, or democracy. If it had been, Biden would be getting raked over the coals good and proper, as would have Obama, Cheney, Clinton, Reagan, and all the long-term senators and representatives. The vast quantity of never-managed things is, on its face, evidence of dereliction of duty.
