Newt Gingrich looks like a pig and has politics to match, but I don’t understand how it’s hypocritical for a rich guy like him to buy expensive jewelry at Tiffany’s while extolling the virtues of a balanced federal budget.
What does one have to do with the other? Seriously?
This reminds me of John Edwards’ $400 haircut. What are these rich guys supposed to do with their money? Not spend it?

It’s not hypocritical, but it does make his claim to be “the people’s candidate” sound slightly more ridiculous than it already was.

Both Gingrich and Edwards also cheated on their cancer-stricken wifes, but Gingrich thinks he still has a political career in the future.
I’m glad Gingrich is running, we need a Republican who is willing to stick his foot in his mouth and speak what’s really on his mind. Like calling the Paul Ryan plan radical right wing social engineering.
Of course…he’s right, and I love watching the FPA – Fascist Party of America (formerly the GOP until Barry Goldwater got the nod) immolate itself over its own cognitive dissonance.
