Yesterday was a pretty good day for the rescue group I volunteer for. I worked with some other volunteers washing dogs at our local Red Bandana, and we raised $400. We have adoptions every Saturday at a Petco, and two Sundays a month at a Petsmart. During yesterday’s Saturday adoption we finalized 6 “forever homes” with at least one more likely today. That’s Belle on the left, one of my fosters who is probably going to go and live with a wonderful family later today. We place about 500 dogs a year, including many, many, many with medical needs and issues. What’s the political angle? None. I just love dogs, and hate how they are often treated.
