Congressional progressives held the line for over 100 days, refusing to vote for a bipartisan infrastructure bill unless centrist Democrats agreed to support their progressive social spending legislation, Build Back Better. Finally they caved in exchange for a sketchy promise by five key centrist Democrats to vote for the progressive bill later on.

Excellent! Regrettably, a lot of the yout (as Joe Pesci would say), have no idea what’s being parodied here. Poor Suger. But that’s fitting I guess; most Dems still haven’t figured out the parody their party has become.
When the Centrists slip the knife in, I hope the progressives do finally wake up and break away from the Dems, but I’m not holding my breath.
