Debt Snake is so hungry it’s eating its own tail.
Here in Sweden, the Ā«conservativesĀ» used to mack the so-called Ā«welfare stateĀ» – that was before they managed to get into government and started dismantling it apace – by saying that we couldn’t have an economy in which one half of the population made their living by providing medical and other such services to the other half. But I doubt that they’d object to an economy in which one half of the population scraped (barely) by by dunning the other half. We must piously hope that they don’t read Ted’s cartoons….
