I know our government wasn’t designed to for micro-management and split-second reactions, but we have designed agencies and other add-ons that can work that fast.
I think there is a place for wage and price controls in the libertarian universe as long as they are seen as temporary measures to be pursued only while monopolies are busted up, and the infrastructure of the economy is rid of other perversions and distortions.
It can be compared to demolition of a condemned casino. You have to understand how the building is put together, and where it is failing. You have to be sure it will not collapse on your crew while they plant charges. You have to build scaffolding. It takes months.
