We don’t have healthcare, that was bypassed for something called insurance.
You do have healthcare. You can pay for it yourself. If you don’t have the money many hospitals have funds to pay for destitute patients. My wife is a nurse, and in 5 years, they have never refused a patient.
Healthcare is a fabricated notion in the USA, we have corporations that provide health services at enormous profit. Most of it is paid for through insurance, which will soon be mandated by law, once again providing corporations with gigantic profits while being grossly inefficient with 30% administrative overhead in operating cost. I’m not saying doctors and nurses don’t care about their patients, the corporations are running the show here, and the bottom line is their chief concern.
The profit margins for a health insurance company is in the low single digits. That’s not an enormous profit. Better than the albatross called Medicare.
