How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Drone

The Pentagon said it would never deploy Predator or Reaper drones in the United States. Now USA Today reveals that they do, and have for years. But not to worry: now the Pentagon says they won’t be used to kill Americans the way they’re used in Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan.

  1. «… now the Pentagon says they won’t be used to kill Americans the way they’re used in Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan.» But they didn’t say anything about using these drones the way they’ve been used in Afghanistan ? Talk about CYA !…

    • Back when we illegally assassinated UBL, I was surprised by the number of “liberals” (LINOs?) who cheered. I got into a number of arguments, and heard many times, “Well, it’s not like he’s killing Americans” (as if that made any difference whatsoever)

X months later, we heard about the illegal assassination of an American citizen: Anwar al-Awlaki along with his underage son. (son was collateral damage, so of course that doesn’t count)

Okay, so it’s not like they’re killing Americans on American soil. On Tuesday. Before lunch. That we know of…
