The likelihood of prison time is minimal. In general, the crime Hunter is charged with doesn’t tend to lead to prison time. Further, the trial of the sitting president’s son is being held in Delaware, the seat of Joe Biden’s political power for decades.
The real power of a guilty finding in a court case is that it usually impacts the defendant’s entire life in a negative fashion (loss of job, housing, child custody, etc.) Hunter Biden will never go hungry due to a guilty finding in this case. He won’t lose custody of his kids. He won’t get evicted. Why would Joe Biden pardon his kid? The ruling will have no impact on Hunter’s life whatsoever.
