Too Stupid To Nuke

Libya agreed to give up its nuclear program and had its government overthrown. Afghanistan and Iraq didn’t have one and got invaded. If the Iranians, with their long experience of American interference, agree not to build nuclear weapons, they would be idiots.

  • A map US military bases surrounding Iran at: http://tinyurl.com/88btskx

The following is a comprehensive listing of US foreign “interventions” for the last century or so. It stops before the 2003 Iraq invasion/monumental fiasco. http://tinyurl.com/5uy93

Does anyone have a similar list for Iran?

  • The djinn is out of the bottle – and he’s not going to go back in. Any first-year physics student should be able to design an atomic bomb from first principals.

I only see two ways out:

. 1) Everybody on the planet starts acting like adults.
    . 2) MAD.

Number one just ain’t gonna happen & number two is far too risky. It just takes one idiot who doesn’t understand the repercussions of their actions to push the button and set off World War Last. Oh, hey- didja notice we’re a year away from electing a new idiot who doesn’t understand the repercussions of their actions?

  • Anyone without a nuke is liable to wake up as toast. The death watch is on.

Technology from the minds of the few has grown beyond the capacity of the minds of the many to understand its consequences.

I can only imagine monkeys waving around nukes like some other lesser simian waving around green lasers, blinding pilots trying to land huge passenger airplanes.

“Idiocracy” is really a documentary. Mankind has finally been perfected. He is now a perfect idiot.

  • 1954 – we attacked our good buddies, the Iranians
19XX – The Evil Iranians attacked our good buddies, the Iraqis
19XY – The Evil Iraqis attacked our good buddies, the Iranians.
19XZ – The Evil Iranians attacked our good buddies, the Iraqis.
2003 – we attacked our good buddies, the Iraqis…

Where have all the flowers gone?

  • Article VI of the TREATY ON THE NON-PROLIFERATION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS :

«Each of the Parties to the Treaty undertakes to pursue negotiations in good faith on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race at an early date and to nuclear disarmament, and on a treaty on general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control.»

Of course, things do take time – and only some 45 years have passed since the NPT entered into force on 5 March 1970….
