Here’s the Weird Anti-Terrorist Trash Talk That Stayed on Donald Trump’s Cutting Room Floor After the Manchester Attack

After an ISIS terrorist murdered children attending a concert in England, Donald Trump weighed in, saying that he would no longer call terrorists monsters because they probably like that moniker. Instead, the middle school-mentality president said, he would use the term “evil losers,” a riff on his favorite insult. What other phrases may this brilliant rhetorician have considered before settling on evil losers?

  • Now, Ted, at least dear Mr Trump is not a «pseudointellectual» (with or without hyphen), who employs words of five syllables where one would suffice…. 😉

    • “On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”— H. L. Mencken

      • And I who thought that particular prophecy had come true already some 16 years ago…. 😉

      • @glenn –

“…and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

I have cited that quote myself. I’ve also hypothesized that libs want a president who is smarter than they are, while righties want a president who is as stupid as they are.

Another of his quotes that make me giggle, “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

  • More useless “preaching to the choir” here.

  • I still prefer the classics. “Evil Doers”

Of course “they” are evil. It is self-evident that “we” are good, ergo any and all who oppose us must be evil.

It is far too easy for Homo Sap to fall into that trap. It’s hardwired into the primate brain if not lower. Civilization is only possible if we all deny our inner killer apes.

  • I can’t help but play around with words. I did a little “switcheroo” here and saw in this cartoon: “DEVIL ORKS”!
    😀

  • The Dilbert blog likes ‘losers’ since it denigrates the jihadis in a way that (according to the Dilbert blog) is so humiliating they’ll give up on terrorism.

For myself, the policies of Clinton, Bush, jr., Obama, and Trump are about the same, only the speeches are different, and I judge by actions, not words.

I agree that Obama gave Great speeches: we must fight climate change (but he doubled fossil fuel production); the US must not use torture (but he said the US found Osama using ‘enhanced interrogation’, which, even if it uses the rack, the bastinado, and electrodes to the genitals is NOT torture because the US is the Greatest Force for Good, so when the US applies ‘enhanced interrogation’ to its enemies, it is always proper and right and is NOT torture). And, while independent observers said Obama’s strikes killed mostly civilians, the US MSM agreed that Obama’s strikes were so precision targeted that not one single civilian was killed, only illegal, enemy combatants who were guilty of capital crimes under international law.

    So the answer is …

    (I have no idea.)

    • «So the answer is …

(I have no idea.)» Nor do I, Michael. One of the [fill in the blank with the appropriate noun yourself] most responsible for the current state of the world, like dear Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzeziński finally leaves us, which could be cause for rejoicing, but new candidates to make it still worse come all the time. Looks like «the answer» will be that thermonuclear conflagration that we are so rapidly approaching….

  • Well, I see that we are pretty much in agreement about Trump’s character, so let’s have a “Fish Party”!
“Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for a day – Take away his fish; hey, we got all the fish! Woo-Hoo! Fish Party!”

  • But “evil loser” roll off the tongue so much easier than: “organization conceived, created, funded and supported by the US to keep its populace terrorized, under control and distracted from the results of the slow-motion destruction their ‘democracy’ and economic opportunity”

    • «But “evil loser” roll off the tongue so much easier than: “organization conceived, created, funded and supported by the US to keep its populace terrorized, under control and distracted from the results of the slow-motion destruction their ‘democracy’ and economic opportunity”» Falco, may I take the liberty of adding «and to keep profitable wars going in places like Southwest Asia, for the benefit of the military industrial complex and those who control it and their lackeys» ?…
