Sacramento Bee Cartoon: Fewer Taxpayers Means Fewer Taxes

I did this cartoon for The Sacramento Bee. It’s about an attempt by big tobacco companies to block passage of Proposition 29, which would impose an additional $1/pack cigarette tax.

    Not being snarky, but it must be hard to really do an effective cartoon about Sacremento living in New York.

    Getting the right feel and voice.

    Depending on others for insight.

    Then again, what do I know.

    That’s right, you must raise taxes on cigarette makers, how else can you later subsidize tobacco growers?
