Anyone who has spent time around Arabs knows that they take their cultural mandate of hospitality very seriously. The Moroccan soldiers were impelled to prepare meals and offer them to their fellow soldiers.
Of course, Moroccan food has much too much chilli, cinnamon, heavy Moroccan oil (better in the crankcase than in the meal), and, worst of all, cilantro, which, to any normal person, tastes like lye soap.
It’s no wonder their fellow soldiers accused the two Moroccans of trying to poison them.
